Sakai Support Staff offer a number of Sakai workshops for PLU faculty and students. Let us know your specific goals and we'll do our best to customize workshops to meet your needs. Register for workshops online via the Workshop Registration Form.

Below are a few examples of workshops we offer:

  • Getting Started with Sakai - Use the Sakai learning management system to quickly setup a course or project site. Hands-on activities will include developing a syllabus, adding announcements, and posting MS Office documents. Intended for faculty and staff. 
  • Sakai Assesment Tools - This workshop will focus on using setting up Sakai Assignments, Gradebook, Polls, and Tests & Quizes.
  • Sakai Collaboration Tools - Use the Sakai learning management system to facilitate communication and collaboration among students or workgroups. This workshop will focus on hands-on activities with the following tools: Mailtool, Email Archive, Forums, Chat, Drop Box, and Wiki.
  • Getting Started with Podcasting - Interested in finding out what it takes to integrate podcasts/vodcasts into your courses? This session will provide an overview of tools and processes for creating podcasts and distributing them via the Sakai learning management system.
